The six members of The Police Consort have sung professionally, mainly in cathedrals and churches across the UK, before joining the police. Its members now currently work within the Metropolitan Police Service as police officers in a variety of roles.

Its members are accomplished musicians who have trained in some of the world's best conservatoires and performed with some of Europe's most prestigious ensembles.

The group was founded by PC James Preston in January 2013 and has become a regular feature in a variety of police events.

The Police Consort represent the Metropolitan Police Service with the kind permission of Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe.
